Once the allocation is surrendered, any subsequent requests to increase will be at the current rates as per the pricing brochure. No, we do not currently offer a buyback scheme. If you think you have excess allocation it can be surrendered back to WBWC or you can investigate selling it to an existing WBWC customer. Any proposed transfer must be discussed first with WBWC prior to any private arrangements. This is to ensure that there is sufficient network capability to facilitate the transfer of allocation to a different customer outlet. It is important to be aware that your agreement with WBWC is with an individual or entity, not with the property. This means that if you sell the property without ensuring the transfer of the agreement to the new owner you will still be responsible for that contract, regardless of whether you own the land or not. We recommend ensuring the transfer of the water supply agreement within the sale conditions. Early notification to WBWC of your intent to sell means that we can make preparations with the property conveyancers to ensure this process goes smoothly.

Due to significant works impacting our transfer infrastructure this winter we have taken the decision to not offer winter water. We need to prioritise these works which have the potential to impact the volume we can transfer over the cooler months in order to ensure we have sufficient storage levels prior to the peak irrigation season. Going forward winter water will be reviewed on an annual basis and an update on its availability will be communicated via our website.
