Graham has been the Chief Executive Officer of Water Utilities Australia since 2016 and sits on the board of directors as an executive director. Since 2007, Graham has specifically focused on growing capital intensive water and infrastructure businesses in both public and private sectors and on investment in water in all its forms – agriculture, industrial and municipal. Over Graham’s 50 year career, he has spent approximately half of his time in each of the public and private sectors.
Graham spent over 20 years at Sydney Water, starting as a graduate engineer and working his way up as a member of the senior management team. Following his departure from government in 1991, Graham has been a Chairman, MD and Director of over 40 companies, including United Utilities Australia, Osmoflo, Salisbury Water and Infrastructure Partnerships Australia. Graham was National President of the Australian Water Association from 2013-2015 and sat on its Board for 7 years.
Graham holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Sydney and a Masters in Public Administration from The American University in Washington DC. He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He was made a Life Member of AWA in 2019.
